About Us / Programs and Services

Regency Hospital Company provides services to medically complex patients who have suffered recent catastrophic illnesses or injury and require an extended length of stay in an acute care environment, typically longer than two or three weeks.

We welcome your inquiries about admission criteria and services provided. Our pre-admission staff are registered nurses who provide screening assessments at no cost. These can be done wherever the patient is at the time, whether it is in the hospital or another facility.

Patients who come to our hospital are cared for by a team of highly trained medical professionals who collaborate and coordinate the services provided in a caring, yet highly technical environment. While involving families in both care and outcomes our goal is to meet the needs of each patient

In addition to medical care and treatment, Regency Hospital Company provides assistance to patients and families, ranging from discharge planning, social services, pastoral counseling and family consultation.

At Regency Hospital, everything we do is focused exclusively on healing acutely ill patients. This allows us to focus intently on providing a comprehensive, focused and effective treatment program for these unique patients.

Programs

Medically Complex Program

Our multidisciplinary services are designed for patients needing treatment for infectious disease and post-surgical recovery.

Pulmonary/Ventilator Program

Developed with specific disease protocols for patients who are intubated, whether orally or by tracheostomy, are ventilator-dependent, or who require mechanical support to maintain breathing.

Complex Wound Care Program

For patients recovering from serious wound complications or extensive surgery and for the management of pressure ulcers.

Low Tolerance Rehabilitation Program

Designed for patients unable to tolerate more than three hours of therapy a day, our rehabilitation services include physical, occupational and speech therapy.

Nursing

Regency nurses are licensed RNs, LPNs or LVNs with certification in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Each is also trained in the special needs of long-term critical care. More importantly, each is carefully chosen for their dedication to providing the attentive care necessary to give our patients their lives back.

Physical/Occupational Therapy

One of the greatest rewards is helping patients recover to the point where they can take care of themselves. As with all services provided at Regency Hospitals, our physical, occupational and speech therapists develop programs specifically for medically complex patients who, unlike typical patients, often cannot perform three hours of therapy each day.

Respiratory Care

Giving people their lives back means doing everything possible to help our patients function on their own. Admitted patients requiring ventilators, our board certified pulmonologists and respiratory care practitioners work to return our patients to breathing on their own so they can resume their lives. Our success rates are among the highest in the industry.

Case Management/Social Service

Key members of our caregiver teams, case managers and social workers making physician referrals, provide patient/family counseling and social services and handle patient reporting.

Outcomes Measurement

Our interdisciplinary team continually measures patient progress through daily monitoring and weekly treatment staff meetings. Family involvement is an important factor in patient progress, and we encourage family participation throughout the patient’s stay. Regency Hospital’s priority is to return each patient to his or her optimal level of functioning and health.

Continuous Quality Improvement

Because of our commitment to high quality patient care and our desire to meet the highest standards of excellence, Regency Hospitals are accredited by JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations). In addition to JCAHO accreditation, our hospitals have implemented a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) program as its system for quality assurance. Our CQI program assists us with establishing standards and protocols that exceed the regulatory industry standards.

We provide any service that a patient requires while in our care. And we will provide it in an exceptional manner, suited exclusively to the patient’s individual needs.
