Regency Hospital of Florence combines the specialized expertise of a large hospital with the personalized attention of a smaller setting.

Occasionally, patients in the hospital have a need for a longer acute care stay due to their illness, multiple injuries, trauma, or medical complications. The unique medical needs of these types of patients require more intensive, focused hospital care for optimal recovery. Regency Hospitals are designed specifically to meet the needs of these types of extended acute care patients.

As a long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital, we specialize in treating medically-complex patients such as those needing ventilator/pulmonary care, wound care, long-term IV therapies, trauma recovery, and those with multi-system failures. We have a highly motivated and dedicated team of physicians, clinical staff and support services whose focus is excellent patient care. We are committed to treating you with respect, dignity and honor; to putting you and your family first; to providing the medical and social resources available to maximize your recovery; and to giving you the emotional strength and guidance to ensure a safe transition back to your home or to another appropriate level of care. We provide the latest in medical products and technology, along with continuous training for our staff to ensure the highest level of care is given to our patients every day. Our interdisciplinary team focuses on achieving positive results and being passionate about the services we provide. We promise to do everything we can to provide a home-like environment ensuring comfort, safety, privacy and a sense of personal space for you and your loved one during treatment.

Each patient is also assigned a case manager who will guide their case from admission through discharge. The case manager is available to answer questions, assist with insurance and to plan a safe, timely and appropriate discharge. Regency Hospitals are Medicare certified and accredited by the Joint Commission. We participate with most major health insurers.

We are located on the 4th and 5th floor(s) of Carolina's Cedar Tower, which allows us seamless transition of patients.

Our Admissions Coordinator will process your referrals to Regency Hospital of Florence quickly and efficiently. An on-site evaluation of the patient will be completed by a Clinical Liaison within hours of the referral. The Clinical Liaison is your personal contact to Regency Hospital. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the services we provide. Once an admission decision has been determined, the patient can often transfer the same day.
