Central Georgia, Georgia

Welcome to Regency Hospital of Central Georgia. Services began here in Macon in the spring of 2004 and the hospital has continued to reach new heights. Long term acute care hospitals, or LTACs, are the most appropriate setting for severely ill, medically complex patients, making it imperative to have the capacity to meet the needs of the patients. That takes a very planned and coordinated effort by our nursing, therapy and rehabilitative team working in conjunction with physicians, as well as our case management team, to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved within a reasonable period of time. We pride ourselves on the interdisciplinary teamwork and cooperation that exists in the LTAC setting that ensures a seamless continuum of care for each person who is admitted to our hospital. We have the resources, skills and ability to provide the highest level of care in an effective manner. Nearly three out of every five of our discharged patients are able to return home. We address more than the physical or medical needs of the patient with our pastoral care program. We address the spiritual needs, as well. We counsel and advise families, caregivers and others in order to help them make informed decisions. There are only about 350 LTACs in the United States, and we feel we are one of the best you will find. We strive to give people their lives back.
