Programs

Each Regency Hospital provides comprehensive programs specifically developed for the needs of the long-term, critically ill patient including:

Medically Complex Program

Our multidisciplinary services are designed for patients requiring treatment for cancer, infectious disease, dialysis and post surgical recovery

Pulmonary/Ventilator Program

Developed with specific disease protocols for patients who are intubated, whether orally or by tracheostomy, are ventilator-dependent or who require mechanical support to maintain breathing.

Complex Wound Care Program

For patients recovering from serious wound complications or extensive surgery, and for the management of pressure ulcers.

Low Tolerance Rehabilitation Program

Designed for patients unable to tolerate more than three hours of therapy a day, our rehabilitation services include physical, occupational and speech therapy.

Services

Nursing Services

Our nursing team is staffed with highly trained and skilled medical professionals who have extensive backgrounds in critical care, rehabilitation and long-term care settings. Our nursing team is certified and credentialed in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and licensed as either registered nurses (RN) or licensed practical nurses (LPN).

Physical/Occupational Therapy

Generally, patients at this level of care require extensive physical and occupational therapy as part of their healing process. Physical therapy and occupational therapy are provided by licensed and certified physical and occupational therapists who specialize in acute hospital stays.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy services are made available by certified speech and language pathologists for patients who require therapy for communication and swallowing problems.

Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory care is instrumental in the evaluation, treatment, management and preventive care of patients with cardiopulmonary problems. All respiratory therapy procedures are provided by qualified respiratory care practitioners who work under the leadership of a specialist of pulmonary medicine. Our respiratory therapy team are certified and credentialed in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and licensed as registered respiratory therapists (RRT) or certified respiratory therapists (CRT).

Case Management/Social Service

A case manager and/or social worker is available to help you obtain maximum benefits during and after your hospitalization. Social services will provide counseling for you and your family, will make referrals to community agencies and arrange for services or special equipment use after your discharge from the hospital.

Students

Training of nursing students/faculty shall adhere to departmental policies and procedures, as well as school and hospital rules and responsibilities. Nursing students function under the direct supervision of their clinical faculty and may be participating in the care of patients. General supervision is provided by all members of the nursing staff.

Only schools approved by the Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE) will be allowed to use this clinical facility. Respiratory therapy students shall be directly supervised by a qualified therapist and may be participating in the care of patients while in clinical practice.
