Dr. Deepak Kadiyala, Medical Director

Dr. Deepak Kadiyala is the medical director for Regency Hospital Macon, overseeing all medical services.

Dr. Kadiyala also serves as Coliseum Hospital’s intensive care unit medical director. He is triple-board-certified in internal medicine, nephrology and critical care, and specializes in treatment of critically ill ICU patients.

In addition, Dr. Kadiyala is part of the teaching faculty for Coliseum Hospital’s internal and emergency medicine and transitional year residencies.

His clinical interests include cardiopulmonary physiology/pathophysiology, point-of-care ultrasound in critical care and clinical reasoning instruction for residents.

Dr. Kadiyala is a recipient of the St. Luke Award (physician of the year) from the Franciscan St. Margaret Health System and HCA Healthcare’s 2018 Frist Humanitarian Award winner.

He earned a medical degree from Guntur Medical College, India and received training in internal medicine/acute medicine in the United Kingdom, becoming a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK.  In the United States, Dr. Kadiyala finished his residency/chief residency at St. Mary’s Hospital, Connecticut. He underwent fellowship training in nephrology at Yale University and in critical care at University of Maryland.
