Chief Executive Officer

Dusan Makel, LPCC-S, MBA

Dusan serves as the chief executive officer at Regency Hospital - Oregon. In this role since 2024, he oversees hospital operations, clinical program development, certifications, licensure and compliance standards and strategic planning.

Prior to joining Select Medical, Dusan was chief executive officer at an Encompass Health inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He has over 24 years of health care experience, including various leadership positions. As a seasoned leader, he has extensive experience enhancing patient safety, focusing on delivering exceptional patient care and fostering innovation.

Dusan holds a dual master’s degree in clinical counseling from Ashland University and business administration from Ohio Dominican University.
