Dr. Bryan Waldo, Associate Medical Director

Dr. Bryan Waldo is the associate medical director of Regency Hospital Porter. In this role, he oversees the hospital’s clinical policies and procedures.

Dr. Waldo is board-certified in internal medicine, hypertension and nephrology. He is a member of the National Kidney Foundation, American Society of Nephrology, American Society of Hypertension and the Renal Physicians Association.

He is a senior partner with Northwest Indiana Nephrology Associates and also serves as medical director for two dialysis centers.

Dr. Waldo practices all aspects of general adult nephrology, with special interests in electrolyte disturbances, critical care nephrology and the recovery of chronically critically ill patients.

He has held hospital and academic posts, including vice-chairman of medicine, chairman of quality, dialysis director and assistant clinical professor of medicine at Indiana University Northwest.

Dr. Waldo received a Bachelor of Science with honors from Northern Illinois University and a medical doctorate from the Medical College of Wisconsin. His internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship were completed at Rush University Medical Center. In between the residency and fellowship, Dr. Waldo worked at Rush University as a hospitalist and clinical instructor.
